OH MY GOD IT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!1

I was at the local Wal-Mart and I had to ask whether or not I looked better in the 13 gallon or 8 gallon.

Needless to say the poor gal was more than a little confused and bewildered, and I still don't know which trash can makes me look fat. Neverd can be so odd.

I've almost completed six years in the US Air Force (as a mechanic -_-) and I love to shoot. I keep working on my marksmanship though it's still nothing to brag about. I'm also trying to become more of an outdoorsman, hunting, etc. Even picked up a US Army survival manual at the bookstore that I've been poring over. I want to learn some hand-to-hand combat, even if it's just simple boxing, and I've been working to get into better shape.

Socially, I've always been very selective of my friends and confidantes. Unfortunately I've never had a close, tight-nit relationship with my family. Is it sad that the father figure I want to emulate is a fictional character from a series of Star Wars books? Razz

I can honestly say that being a "Fandalorian" hasn't really changed my life in any profound sense or meaning.

I love the fact I made a costume and got to go to San Diego Comic Con and play dress up and show off and strut and look cool.

But other than that, I'm still who I am as I've always been. The Mandalorian teachings or life style or anything else from the fictional culture has never really been adopted into my personal life. I mean, I think the most has been my ability to accept my Granpa's passing the winter before last, but that was more of a personal way of dealing with something I couldn't change and coming to a basic understand that I can't let myself get drawn on something I can't change.

...Or maybe it was all the alcohol I drank at the time. Either or.

So, hmm...

Can't say really much influences me from the Mandalorian life style.

Hmmmmmm *thinks really really hard*

Well other than suddenly freaking out my non-mando (still star wars fans) friends by suddenly splurting out in mando'a for some reason or another...usually cause i made a mistake or somethign unexpected happened or I'm just angry or annoyed..yeah well the general thing.

So for me mostly the mando speaking and the mando promoting that I'm sure they're not sick of Wink

Hey forks. I haven't posted in ages, I apologize. It's around 1:30 AM where I am so I'll try and make sense here.

I was reading the 501st novel the other day (yes...SPOILERS...albeit a minor one), and I got to the part where Kal got extremely emotional when Scout was around, while the rest of his family was around, having dinner or some such. It was the aay'han, you know...where you, the individual, are in a perfectly happy and fun environment, but you suddenly start to think of dead family members and get extremely sad and emotional.

After reading that and getting a clearer picture of the exact process that it happens, I realized it occurred to me when I graduated from college this last June, in 09. At both my graduation and my graduation party a week later, I got all teary-eyed and wept because my grandfather on my mom's side (who died when I was in 8th grade, around 2000-01) wasn't there with us.

Just a small anecdote. Any more stories from the rest of you guys?
