| Well, I guess if they do one more book I'll read it just so there is some closure but if they try to spin it into a whole new series I'm not interested. I'm too partial to Karen's work and how things should have gone. |

However, I couldn't find anything on Sue Rostoni other than she is the editor at LucasFilm for Expanded Universe comics and books. Does anyone know what else she's done? |
From what I understood of Bur'ika's post, Sue Rostoni confirmed the upcoming book. Not that she was going to write it (as I think you're taking it to mean). Sorry if I misunderstood what you meant, lol.

For those who like to have all the information, this is the (70-page 0_o) thread on StarWars.com concerning Karen leaving, and much later in the thread concerning what is to be done about the continuity of the series. Ms. Rostoni comments throughout. [link] |

| Well, then I just hope they *don't* get Karen Miller for Imperial Commando 2. She wrote "Clone Wars: Wild Space," and all she did was write sentence fragment after sentence fragment. It was one of the worst abuses of grammar I have ever read. While I understand that a lot of the narrative in "Wild Space" was character thoughts, there does come a time when real sentences would do the story justice, and that apparently is not her writing style. As for any other authors who could take up the series, I've been partial to Timothy Zahn's works. He gave a squad of stormtroopers some real charm and personality in his novel "Allegiance." |

| My personal pic would be Matthew Stover for his gritty and realistic approach to writing war stories such as Shatterpoint. |

I love how vague and non-committal those comments sounded to me!
Anyway guys, this is probably the best outcome that we'd hoped when it all went south. Keep believing!!! |

| Well, better than nothing. I feel a good author will be chosen to pick up where Karen left off. It already went sour with this whole Clone Wars TV show (all that for three episodes and some dar'manda duchess...right? geez louise. continuing on though), and it'd be wrong to kick a guy when he's down.
As an afterthought, I'd hate to be Leland Chee. |
