| Welcome, MandoMegika! Like Vio'Fais said, I hope we are able to get the board busy again. We've really been quiet lately. Most of our "regulars" have been busy with school and life in general, but if you have any questions, I'm certain someone will be able to take a few minutes to pop on and help. Take care. | Name:I go by "Rabbit", pretty much anywhere (online OR in real life). Guess I'll stick with that here, too. Age:On the down-side of 20... Location:Florida Occupation:Psychology student. No, I can't read your mind. But, yes, I psychoanalyze for free. For now. Hobbies:Writing. Reading. Procrastinating. Pets. Avoiding homework (oh, wait...I guess that falls under "procastinating", huh...) Why are you here?I need something to fill the gaps of my life, apparently. LOL I haven't written in years and then I discovered the awesomeness of Karen Traviss and the RepCom books... Aaaaand my plot bunnies returned with a fury and a voracious hunger that must be appeased at all costs (or my husband will clearly suffer). I'm here because...well...it looks fun. And my life is sadly lacking in other Fandalorians, so my need for social interaction has lead me here. Alas. LOL Things we can judge you for:My (mostly) clone-centric fanfiction. Though, a literary attempt on the Cuy'val Dar is looming on the horizon... |

| Hey rabbit.writer!! Fancy meeting you here. Glad you've come aboard. I hate saying this to every new "face," but we truly have been a quiet bunch lately. I'm hoping this site can get some conversations going soon, but many of the members are overwhelmed with studies and such so patience remains a virtue. Take care! Ms.MaraJade |

| You can thank our "Mand'alor" Daennika for the site and for maintaining it. She's done a fantastic job creating her own Mando community. If you'd like to stir things up a bit, I doubt anyone would object. We've been trying to get the forums shaking again and maybe a fresh perspective could do that. |

| Whereabouts in Florida are you from, Rabbit? Just curious as a fellow Floridian. You don't have to be specific or even answer at all if you'd rather not, of course. |

| I sent ya' a PM. Thanks for askin', actually. Nice to know I'm not the only Floridian - the Star Wars community is rather non-existent from where I'm sitting (that I know of, at least). Most everyone's down south. *grumbles* |

I think there are a few others on this board as well, but probably closer to me iirc. Replied to your PM. (: |

| Name:Jana, in real life Elinor, in the internet and between friends Agetwenty-something LocationBrno (Czech Republic) Occupation - student (foreign trade) - reviewer and beginning journalist Hobbies: - writing and reading - history, psychology, social sciences - StarWars - fence, airsoft - camping Why are you here?Ye, I´m typical example of „never make a pass at a Mando´ad of either sex unless you intend to offer marriage and became a Mando.“ A year ago I started dating with friend – we both have been StarWars fans, he interested in Mandalorians, I was interested in Jedi Order. Few months after we were berothed and I was extremely interested in mandalorian culture and their point of view of life. xD So I´m here due to my interest in Mandalorians. And because of I want to spread my knowledge about them. Things we can judge you for:First of all: after deeds and words. But that´s difficult when I´m introducing myself. So... ye, I´m someone who want to know more about Mandos and meet neew people who are interested in them too. And I started with creating czech webside about Mandalorians (now in phase „we have a web and the true work can begin“) and czech-mando textbook – both projects are at the beginning but I hope I will have enough time to make progress quickly. I´m writing fanfics (who doesn´t? ) – but of course in Czech and my English isn´t so good to translate short stories from Czech to English. Maybe it will change. |

Who is not? Today begins third week of writing my article about mandalorian religion. Quiet funny, but real life... is real life, with school, part time job and "writing serious things" (e.g. reviews). |

3 weeks to write an article about mando religion? Impressive... I personally would pull my hair out because the sources for that specific aspect of the mando culture are really thin. You should probably ask Karen Traviss directly about this, here's her email address: mail@karentraviss.com |

Better is "not enough time". Writing detailed (intimate/in-depth) articles IS commonly long way - but not sooooo long.
| Daennika wrote: | I personally would pull my hair out because the sources for that specific aspect of the mando culture are really thin.
| Ye, they´re. And Mandos were not... typical believers, what I know, their religion concept was in their society commonly accepted... relatively short time (I mean "true believe" in war between Arasuum and Kad Ha'rangir - not concept of re-interpretation of Akaanati'kar'oya as parables of real life). But... religion is not only holy literature and believing in some gods/God. It´s about seeing world and its rules, too. And... ye, that´s funny, but I understand few important parts of Manda culture during preparation for this article. (e.g. their concept of creativity as a part of rising during conflict)
| Daennika wrote: | You should probably ask Karen Traviss directly about this, here's her email address: mail@karentraviss.com | Wow, thanks! I´ve many, many questions and many hypothesis... |
