"Knights of the Old Republic" for those that don't know. I like to call this the "dildo suit"

One person asked me to draw it. ONCE. But I had my reasons to refuse and still at this day I think this looks like crap. Imagine the people who will rush on The Old Republic game to become a badass Mandalorian from 3,000 years ago and they get THAT.

I have to agree that it's not the most enticing beskar'gam out there, especially the buy'ce...but I have to say that from that era, this armor is probably my favorite:

Other than that, not really...I'm hoping that they'll be smart and introduce them in the Legacy comic soon...I'm tired of going without my monthly dose of mando'ade...

Yeah, the Mandalorians in the KOTOR games were terribly ugly. My brother is obsessed with Canderous Ordo, and at first I was like "Well he's fun to talk but GAWRSH IF HIS OUTFIT ISN'T HIDEOUS."

Mandalore the Ultimate also seemed to avoid the ultra-ugly KKK hood:

I did an Old Republic RPG during the Mandalorian Wars, and my friend and I were like "Yeeah... uh, our Mandalorians have modified suits that look like [description of 'modern' Mandalorian armor here]." There was no way our BAMF-ing Mandos were going to look like the KKK.

The armor always bothered me because I could never really figure out how they were to see to the side. Do they have to turn their whole body because their helmet connects? Razz I figure if they get tinged off the head they'd just kinda fall over.

Call me a traitor, but Demagol had some sweet armor. Very slick.

I tend to think that the optics from inside the visor allow for a panoramic view but the neck connection looks locked into position there, like Batman.

That's a cool picture, Shas. I like that armor because it looks like it lets some mobility without being too bulky like Iron Man.

I dunno if they had panoramic view back then--when Vau (I think?) was using it in one of the RepCom books, he made it sound like it was brand new to him, like it had come out recently. And I dunno, maybe it was out for a long time and he was just an old dude who didn't want to buy it.

Either way, UGLY ARMOR :(

Demagol's is friggen sweet though. I imagine he puts kittens on those spikes.

I personally like Demagol's 'doctor' suit.

This frame particularly.

Okay, that screams "Mad Scientist", "Evil Villain", and "Super Badass" all at once. Especially the pointed shoulders.

Guys, you really don't have to quote posts that are right about the one you are posting unless it's a super huge one and you want to highlight one thing; plus, repeat pictures are annoying and take load time. Razz

Fixed the double picture.

By the way, people, you can edit your own posts after you've sent them. Look at them and if they make you look silly then you can always adjust the shot.

I was apart of that rpg! I remember doing research on Mandos and their armor and seeing pictures of the armor and wondering how they moved. Then I think I just blocked the image from my mind and imagined them in more modern armor.

Yeah I never liked these until the comics came out and retconned these armours being used by a faction heretic to the Mandalorians. Really changed my perspective on them. tongue

The variety of the others are great though.

Well, here's the thing. When I first saw the Mandalorian uniforms in KOTOR, it's true, I hated them. Not because of any perceived resemblance to any hate group, but because the helmets had absolutely no peripheral vision! Heck, they weren't even helmets, they were just faceplates that were two sizes too small stuck onto a fiberweave headdress.

However, looking at the comic version of the Neo Crusader uniform, I'd have to say that I love the changes they've made. At least from an aesthetic point of view. Now, not only are their masks as big as their faces, but now they look like the Desert Rats under General Montgomery.

Still, there ain't no way I'd wear one of those things. Why? Because the moment the enemy attacks you from behind: BLAM! No more Mando.

On a related note, anyone ever realize that it seems to be consistently portrayed in SW canon that people with the last name Fett are total Jerkasses?

I agree, Arla Fett is a total douche that needs slapping out of her crazy mind.
